Amanda Vetsch

Varsity Head Coach
C Squad Head Coach

  • This is my 5th season coaching at South High, and my second season as Head Coach

  • I've been coaching for about 10 years, from Park Board to Club volleyball. When I'm not working or coaching, I play competitively in leagues and tournaments. 

  • My favorite skill to coach is setting, and I love working on  developing game-play strategy

  • My favorite coaching moments are when athletes use what we've been practicing in a competition

JV Head Coach

  • I'm excited to join the South coaching team! This will be my first season coaching at South. 

  • I love to play volleyball and have been for many years. I play a mix of indoor and outdoor adult volleyball leagues and tournaments. 

  • For work, I'm a business analyst.

  • My favorite coaching moments are when teams start to gel together and work well as a team!

  • This is my 2nd season coaching at South High, and my 3rd year coaching. 

  • I played 3 years of varsity, 5 years of travel club volleyball, and 4 years of college club volleyball. 

  • I love game simulating drills and helping players get a specific type of serve down. 

  • My favorite part of coaching is watching players support their teammates on and off the court. 

  • A fun fact about me: my cartoon celebrity crush is Mator from Cars

  • This is my first year coaching at South. 

  • I work at TRIA 

  • My favorite format of playing volleyball is Grass Doubles. 

  • My favorite coaching moments are when they make successful unexpected plays, like a first ball over.

Ariah Dieffenbach (she/her) 
JV Assistant Coach

  • I'm a South High Alum, Class of 2020! 

  • This is my 3rd Year Coaching at South.

  • I've played volleyball for around 10 yrs starting with Parks and Rec then making my way to club then college volleyball.

  • My favorite skill to coach is passing and any defensive play

  • My favorite coaching memories are when I can see the girls I coach actually use what I say to make themselves better and can see the difference themselves!
